look out the germans have landed and i’m very pleased, welcome .. i’ve posted some rammstein before, when the line up for the big day out was announced, well guess what dear reader ? today is the day the big day out hits the gold coast, the home of tbaoo. i was fortunate to work ( in my day job ) at the big day out for a few years, but i’m too old, lazy and needing adequate toilet facitlies to engage in the mosh pit activity. having your private parts jiggled, jostled, valued and jingled by all sorts of equally weird people is beyond me - now.
i was very lucky in the past to work in rock n roll, and in doing so was privy to the best vantage points, adequate places to pee, drink, eat, get girls ( under the most respectful circumstances of course ) and observe the mass population that was the audience. shit they were mad, very mad.
so, today i miss out on rammstein, but fear not they will probably feature on channel v (cable music channel ) next week. bands in the past heavily regulated the taping and subsequent broadcast of their material, but in 2001 about three or so songs made to air. the second video, the 2001 gig, is the second single from the album sehnsucht (1997) was Du hast . i apologise for the poor quality, it seems they don’t have full control. any-who, i was in seventh heaven and for an atheist that’s a very strange place. the 2001 rammstein show was bloody amazing on screen and maniac live and i’ll bet your total net worth, it’s going to be even better in 2011.
