tbaoo is under attack{9}
as my life as a blogger continues, i’ve been advised that tbaoo has been (and seems to remain to be ) attacked. i suspect it was an approach regarding a subject close to my heart, i.e. money. i think an evil empire has assessed ( ? ) my site on the pretext of placing an advertisement and paying me an annual fee for allowing me to post a post about a so called client. of course it could be completely legitimate, but i have my suspicions.
so what do i do, i received some truly well intentioned instructions from my hosting company, but it seems their attempts to clean the database have failed, so i’ve attempted to fix tbaoo and post a post for about 4 hours now and this is not good !!!
i am less than chuffed.
even though some wonderful detail was provided by the ever helpful hosting company and even though it hasn’t worked just yet, i can recommend them to you, if i have a problem, which is often in my case, they are very quick to help. in my other sideways money earner task of doing websites for folk, i set up their sites within http://www.dotable.com and have found them very professional.
i also recommend http://sucuri.net for all you blogger types and/or people with websites.

Frustrating isn’t it? My blog is hosted by Google which shut me down last week for infringing copy write laws (I had posted a Saturday Night Live skit from You Tube). Can you imagine my shock when I went to my blog and found only the message “This blog has been removed due to violation of our terms of service.” #@$%^&!!! But after a bit of effort (and a promise to never do it again), I’m back up and running with all my material still there.
I’m glad to read you’re back on track.

@Kara, did you just embed the video or download/post it? Crazy to know that a blog could be shut down from embedding a YouTube vid. All the more reason to be self hosted.
My blog was hacked 4 times in 3 years, mostly just php files mucked up and not terribly hard to clean. Never had my database damaged though.

@ justin – i’ve tried to learn what files could have been affected and locate them in the directory. so far it seems that the once the additional and unwanted ones were removed things are ok ? thanks for your feedback
