call the oncall call centre for tbaoo 10
well i’m on call again, on standby and standing by. no goodbye just hello. if i have to run away very quickly, i’ll be ready to do so. i have prepared my shorts, shoes and have loads of clean underwear. you may wonder why i’d need clean under wear ? it’s simple, if i’m out for too long, i get four wears out of each pair, inside then outside, backwards and forwards – it’s slightly less than comfortable on two of those rotations, but my occupancy of these undies isn’t that large if you get my drift .. so it’s sort of ok.
the car is fuelled and ready, my cigarette case loaded, my water bottle ready and i’ll make sure i get rid of some water before i go. the state of some public toilets is pretty sad and some places don’t even have a toilet. if i’m in the bushes it takes a bit longer on those two fitting days, as the access is a little restricted. but i’ll get by, or around.
any-who if you see a well dressed, recently evacuated, well refreshed senior gentleman hurtling about the place being responsive, that’s me – say hello – not goodbye.

Alan, being on call isn’t fun, but from the sound of it you’ve got it all figured out… You could always try commando? Should we run into each other I be sure to say hello and not goodbye. Then I’ll probably wonder… which fashion is he trying today?

I’m on call every weekend…but don’t have to worry about underwear since I can respond on the phone…can’t imagine if I had to prepare like you do…
