suck guts in blow leaks out {1}

latest exciting news, ( exciting ? ) our ex pm, mr kevin rudd has been admitted to hospital for stomach pain, acute pain that is. he’s having his gall bladder removed asap. the fact that he has “gall” or a “bladder” is no surprise to anyone.

just check out this video/news item below, it’s from the 10 network – serious stuff indeed !!! and just the right amount of inflection to make you sit up straight and take notice … another ex labour leader – mark latham has given such a water felt spray regarding the recent leaks. this means someone on the inside gives out information, usually to a very fat man with a long history of awkward looks and glances, that might be indigestion but we think it’s his business like journalist delivery. his suits are the largest i’ve ever seen on a human !!

mark latham is a very vocal widely quoted maniac, who had the best chance in flinging johnny howard from office, this fantastic highlights packages brings back memeories from the 2004 event …..this year the chaser team are at it again. vote one for senator heffernan !! in joke – check it out and google bill heffernan while you’re at it.

glen beck – heaven sent, hell bound {3}

thing, what thing {1}

well serious debate has begun .. the australian workers’ union has created the abbott family, mr angry ant abbott i say … i have just found out – that this clip has been removed ??  i’ll try to track it down and repost. the australian electoral laws are very strict about election advertising so i suspect this amusing satire fell victim to them, it may re surface after the election – let’s hope so.

can i vote for who, when, why {2}

just as i’m tapping away here, i realise that the time is fast disappearing for those who wish to vote in australia’s 2010 federal election. we have compulsory voting here, so you have to get in, in fact i’m very fond of telling people or indeed anyone that’s close enough to hear, you can’t complain unless you vote – fair enough – i think so.

while declaring bias, i’ve right clicked and copied the following piece to illustrate the manipulation managed by the previous howard government. they didn’t want the young whippersnappers who had failed to register to vote, to gather momentum and kick the old fellow out,  oh, oops, hang on they did.

Wikipedia has published .. voters cannot register within three weeks of an election, but in 2004 the Howard Government passed legislation that prevents registration after 8PM on the day that the writs are issued (this can be up to ten days after the election has been announced).[1] This legislation has been considered as controversial by some Australians who contend it disenfranchises first-time voters or those who have forgotten to re-register. To ameliorate this concern, when the Electoral Commission considers an election announcement is likely with a few weeks it conducts public awareness advertising on the need to register or to update registration.

if you want to anything about the voting, counting and it’s meaning to political life here is australia, this is a good place to start

now back to the frenzy that is the countdown until 20.00 hours australia time, it’s madness, the call centre is crazy and the website crashed today as citizens tried to download the forms required. i thank everyone involved on behalf of any one that gives a shit. i’m most pleased that the department ( aec ) had it’s act together and was able to help what should be one million plus, trying to do it all today. i could be cruel and suggest that they should have done something before today ( except those turning 18 today ), but hey just do ( or i hope you did ) it.
