how much fun is enough fun {17}

ok i love google, i love youtube and i love apple. so that’s out of the way, here’s my gripe. i’ve been merrily posting top quality free range, funky, enlightening, sexy videos on tbaoo and basking in my cleverness, nowhere near inverness mind you and what do i find ?

no bugger in the key target markets for tbaoo and by that i mean the rest of world and not just australia, can see the freak’n things.

copyright is one thing, if i can see it and you dear foreigner, can see it, what can’t you see it on tbaoo when they’re presented in such a loving manner. well apparently it’s the copyright rules that seem to have been forced upon us all very recently. i’m shocked, what is the breach. who is responsible ?

the internet is global, google is global, well except for china, india, north korea etc – hang on, i see a trend forming here. maybe i’ll just have to post a link to the classy pictures and music i wish to share and hope that you’re not living in china, india, north korea etc.

btw .. if you are and i’ve spammed your non english speaking and rather odd comments, i’m sorry. it’s getting a bit hard to tell lately. if you wish to launder money though tbaoo please send an advance and i’ll check out your system, and spend the money on myself of course.

in conclusion … my family social fun has finished for now, thanks jimmy james and holly. the 24 hour blood pressure thingy has been returned, with the excessive results to be scrutinised and appropriate reaction provided. i suspect i’m moderate high with some very weird spikes during the 24 hours, and no it wasn’t from what you sex fiends might think. on a stranger note, the grass is becoming a “lawn” with my new lawn mower in use again today, it’s a lot better having great equipment.

the little blue pills, as some have suggested, might also assist in the equipment area and i have an contact in the sales department of a “firm” selling those forceful blue pills.

please click on this link and enjoy the meaty goodness that is provided by youtube. it’s the foo fighters in australia with some shit hot shots of the gold coast show, sadly i couldn’t attend but i hope a film comes out of the footage.

ok, due to overwhemlingly positive and wonderful feedback regarding some of my recent friday moment pictures, i have the pleasure and somewhat cheeky nerve to present two classic queensland tourist videos. if you do decide to come to australia’s gold coast, be sure to leave me plenty of room to park as i go about my secret daily duties and make sure you bring your credit card.

friday moment 7 – 10 {31}

A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week .. some time ago ..

A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savour and remember

thanks tony

smile for the camera {10}

i’m going to get all academic on your ass !! – no not really, but in thinking about things today i was reminded, yes here i go again .. of my view on the view of cctv cameras. closed circuit television cameras. we in today’s society are becoming used to the fact that they’re around and some may even think, feeling safer, about them watching our every move, well not every one but just the important ones.

the bad guys and girls that break the law should have a lot to fear, well that’s if they fear getting caught, while those who work in so called high or even low risk workplaces should feel safer. idiots come in to rob the place and all the ridiculously placed cameras record is an incredibly blurred shot of the head of “some goombert” from some ninety eight metres away. why the “mother truckin hell” are they they like that ? who decided that we wouldn’t know they’re there, or even that the somewhat disguised fools wouldn’t know.

the sheer sillines of their placement in these high or low risk workspaces where innocent workers get robbed, bashed and worse by loonies looking for a quick buck, is up for some serious rethinking me thinks…

so the topic for today dear reader, is posed in question form:

  1. would you agree to be recorded, as in a clear face height, full face, front on digital video of your good self, as you walked in to the business.
  2. would you agree to have a video, same details as in face height, full face of your good self as you make your purchase, ( those sly adulteress contraceptive purchases may have to be a bit more discrete )
  3. would you then as a condition of entry, by reading the unmistakably obvious signage as you entered, agree to this process.
  4. knowing that the right of access to these recording is only permitted via a court warrant and only pertinent to an actual crime.

the camera lens would be ( and should be ) fairly and squarely pointed at the faces of those entering, those making a purchase and those dropkicks that decide to rob with or without violence. this activity will be captured by a bomb proof, paint proof, damage of any kind proof camera housing built into the shop fitting stuff. no need to think that no-one knows the cameras are there. highlight the shit out of them and make sure everybody knows that it’s happening .. hence point 3.

here’s a personal view on cctv camera locations … thank you – you tube

alternatively here’s some serious discussion on street based cameras, which can be accessed via this excellent paper …

Paul Wilson and Helene Wells. (2007) “What do the watchers watch? an Australian case study of CCTV monitoring” http://epublications.bond.edu.au/hss_pubs/251

so when you go to the store, service station, video store or local dodgy hot dog stand – be prepared to be captured on video and be pleased about it, please !!

bad news is not good news {4}

i was sitting here wondering .. just what today’s topic is going to be ?,  what’s news, what’s important in the world or indeed, what of it do i want to share with you, dear reader. well an outstandingly important piece of journalism has hit my eye, as i browsed about.

Hasselhoff heads to Gold Coast

January 4th, 2011 – gold coast bulletin

BAYWATCH star David Hasselhoff is set to make an appearance at Main Beach on the Gold Coast tomorrow.

The Hoff, who will be spruiking Streets’ new Splice Real Fruits ice blocks, did a slow-motion run on the sand to renowned theme song I’ll Be There at Bondi Beach in Sydney yesterday.

The 58-year-old former TV star is rumoured to have netted $250,000 for the Streets campaign, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Hasselhoff will be at Main Beach about midday tomorrow ( wednesday 5 January  ).

i’m there, i’m going tomorrow, i’ll take time off work, i’ll take my baywatch t shirt and have it signed, i may have my chest signed and get it tattooed into my body. or of course i might do no such thing, not any of those things.. the man’s a complete buffoon.

..

..

i was going to post the real video, but it is just too bad, too close to home, i’ve been that drunk ( often ) and i don’t like to remember it. alcoholism is no joke, i should know, as i came so close, ( or more accurately if i was honest ), i came through “it” relatively unscathed.
